Owning the Rocket R Nine One

Rocket prefers to be a company of firsts, proving that philosophy yet again with the R Nine One, a pressure profiling dual boiler machine with a saturated group. Based on market feedback and an examination of competing machines, they took elements from their commercial products to bring to bear in the home market. The R Nine One makes use of a 1.9 l saturated group assembly for brewing and a massive 3.6 l boiler for steaming. Echoing the R 60V, the R Nine One also brings back pressure profiling, this time achieved via a magnetic pump and potentiometer.

The new brewing features also come with more modern controls. The machine is equipped with a vivid touch screen display for controlling and programming the its various functions; conversely, brew and steam pressure are still measured in analog via a set of massive gauges located beneath the screen. With more brains behind touch screen, the machine can be programmed with 5 unique pressure profiles, maintenance alerts, and automatic on/off times for every day of the week. Aesthetically, the R Nine One’s Rocket DNA is on full display with the iconic “R” present in several locations alongside the unique Appartamento style feet and raised “ROCKET” letters on the back panel.
